In-Person and Virtual Appointments

The Digital Learning Centers (DLC) offer instructional support and academic assistance for students, both in-person and online. Our wide range of workshops and services are designed to equip students with 21st century skills, positioning them for transformative success in their careers.
We empower students holistically with digital literacy skills and prepare them for a bright future. Our centers offer:
- One-on-one support (both virtual and in-person)
- Laptop Lending Programnew window

- Workshops (Microsoft Office applications, Blackboard, ePortfolio, LinkedIn, Getting Started with MAC OS, Getting Started with a PC, and more)
- Windows and Mac workstations

- Limited technical support (Duo 2FA, MyMC, Zoom configuration, printing, etc.)
Booking Your Appointment
- In-person assistance is provided on a walk-in basis, during normal business hours, and does not require an appointment.
- To book an in-person or virtual appointment, select the appointment topic, date, available staff, and time.
- After booking an appointment, a confirmation email from the Digital Learning Center will be automatically sent to your email.
- The staff will send you an email containing a meeting link prior to your appointment.
Laptop Lending Program
The Digital Learning Center offers short-term laptop loans to currently enrolled students who need a device for their coursework. To request a laptop, students must be registered for the current semester and submit a Laptop Lending Application.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Support
For Faculty: Opportunities for Collaboration
We partner with faculty to support ethical and effective student use of Generative AI (GenAI) tools in the classroom.
Available Workshop Topics:
- GenAI Ethics and Academic Integrity: Tailored to your syllabus and course policies
- AI Literacy and Critical Thinking: Helps students understand what GenAI can and can't do
- Prompt Engineering Basics: How students can write clear, effective prompts
- Responsible Use of AI Tools: Guidance on when and how to use GenAI appropriately
- Workshops can be scheduled in-person or via Zoom. Presentations are led by trained DLC staff and can be adapted for any discipline or course level.
For Students: GenAI Support and Workshops
The DLC helps students build practical skills using GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini—no prior experience needed.
Students can attend live workshops or drop in for one-on-one support with a DLC staff member. All services are free and open to current Montgomery College students.
